Let's begin, again.
Revisiting crypto investing: Part 1.
I have this urge in early Spring to make major changes.
When I was younger, I would just go ahead and do it, without much, if at all, deliberate thinking on my part. Most of these changes have worked out, some spectacularly.
But, I have begun to realize that by jumping on to the next thing quickly, I am not fully realizing the benefit from the last change. It feels like I haven’t given enough time for the seed to develop into a massive, sprawling Redwood tree (Fact: These “tallest” trees are also the “fastest” growing trees, yet take 100 years or more to fully achieve their vertical height.)
Past
The last major change I made was 3 years ago in March of 2018: I left my job as a Product manager at a fast growing devops startup (my way of saying cutting edge) to build and invest in crypto (be on the bleeding edge).
This change ended 8 months later in November of 2018 when I shut down the startup due to the brutal crypto winter that started. But, this time, I did it differently: I did not abandon crypto. I kept the learnings. I paid enough attention and continue to do so today. It’s my way of watering that growing tree regularly to see how big it can grow ?
Present
Unless you live under a rock (as an individual investor not as a human), you would know that the crypto winter has ended. We are well into spring with the massive bull run recently. But (I know I am overusing buts..) that is not the purpose of this post.
Today, I want to begin again on something that I started 3 years ago: I want to introduce you to how crypto and blockchain works so that you can make an informed decision on whether to invest in them or not.
With that, let’s get started with the first set of learning:

I’ll leave you with this for now. Please be sure to subscribe for my next article in which I cover Bitcoin basics:
